First impression of Sion : The castles of Valere and Tourbillon, standing on twin hills, form Sion’s landmark. Valere containing the world’s oldest playable organ, was Sion’s first cathedral. Tourbillon, in ruins since the 1788 fire, was formerly the Prince Bishop’s summer residence. You will be leaving at the foot of these two hills. |

Morning: 3 French lessons Afternoon: Orientation tour, we will show you, the rail-way station, the post office, the supermarkets, etc. Then, we will visit Sion, the city center,by mini-train : the cathedral, the two hills, the town hall, the antic streets, etc. Sion enjoys an exceptional climate, it is the sunniest town in Switerland, with hardly any fog and has a low rainfall. ![]() |

| Wednesday | LUZERN - INTERLAKEN :
We will visit Luzern, the medieval city, the lake, the mountains, an unmistakable composition of natural and man-made beauty, time-tested over centuries and carefully nurtured. We will discover the Chapel Bridge with its gabled paintings of old battles and the adjacent old city quarters, also the water tower, the Jesuit church, the "Ritterscher palace" and the famous "Lion Monument". Free time in the city. ![]() Afternoon, on the return way, we will visit Interlaken, captivating "capital" of Switzerland's beautiful Bernese Oberland.
Interlaken is a delightful destination. The town is located between the lakes of Thun and Brienz, at the foot of the towering trio of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau. Free time in Interlaken

| Saturday | Gruyères and Bern : All day
After a coffee stop, we will visit Gruyeres, the quaint hill town has
preserved its magnificent medieval appearance. Boutiques, art galleries,
craft shops flank the town's cobble-stoned main street. The namesake
cheeses made in the surrounding countryside account for the worldwide
fame of the Gruyere region. We will visit a typical traditional cheese
factory and the famous chocolate "Cailler" fact. Lunch time.
![]() Arrival in Bern, the old town of Bern has been featured in the list of UNESCO, world heritage sites since 1983. We will take a look round this fabulous cultural site and we will enjoy the charm of the covered arcades, cobbled streets and decorated facades. We will discover the cathedral, clock tower, bear pits, houses of Swiss parliament and bund over 100 fountains. ![]() |

Visit to Chillon Castle, a reflection of alpine splendour. This imposing medieval fortress and former princely residence draws scores of visitors. From cellar to dungeon this place is visibly marked by a long history. Walking along the Lake Leman to Montreux. The splendour of the “Belle Epoque” style is typical of the delightful Montreux. We will walk in the footsteps of Hemingway, Nabokov, Sissi. Impress, Byron or Stravinsky. We will pick up the boat to Lausanne. ![]() ![]() ![]() Lausanne is a medieval city with an influence spreading throughout the Christian world, with its splendid Gothic Cathedral consecrated in 1275. In the Old Town on its hilltop, time seems to have stood still. Nightly, the voice of the watchman crying the hours still echoes from the Cathedral tower. ![]() In option, we can visit the CIO Museum the Olympic, where the Olympic Games never come to a close. As you tour the world’s largest information centre on the Olympic Movement and its ideals you will relive the exciting highlights of the Games. |

| Monday | Morning: 3 French lessons Afternoon: Walking tour from Sion, along the “Bisse of Clavoz”, it is an ancestral irrigation canals, this one is the oldest of the Valais, dating back to the 13th century. This walk, over a quiet path let us discover the area of Sion. The walk goes through the vineyard to the village of St-Léonard. ![]() ![]() ![]() After 1 hour and half walking, we will visit the biggest underground lake of Europe, by boat. It is 300m long, 20m large and 10 m high. We will return along the banks of the Rhone to Sion. |

| Thursday | GENEVA and the United Nation : All day
Geneva, the city of the worldwide Water Fountain, the famous 200 international organisations, and the city of luxury jeweller's shops. Arriving in Geneva, we will visit the UN, with a translator, and the Red Cross museum, too. Then, we will take a look around the city, the famous Boutiques, the beautiful parks of trees and roses bushes. We won't forget to look the emblem of Geneva, his water fountain, which projects water per second up to 140m high. At the end of the afternoon, you will have some free time. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Saturday | ZERMATT and the MATTERHORN (4'478m) : All day
we will make an excursion in Zermatt, the village without cars. After one hour bus ride, we will have a coffe break to Täsch, where we will pick up a mountain-train "à cremaillère" to Zermatt. Zermatt is an idyllic mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn, one of the biggest summer and winter resorts. There are no motorised vehicles in Zermatt, and one of the only form of transport allowed is horse-drawn sleighs and carriages. A cableway will drive us at the foot of the Matterhorn. The "Matterhorn" is one of the world's most famous mountain. It raises 4478 meters high. The first men who managed to climb to the top of this mountain were a group of seven mountaineers around Sir Whymper from Great Britain on July 14, 1865. We will return to the village, after a barbecue lunch, and we will use a charming path, across the mountain grazing and forest. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
